The Chesapeake Public Library needs volunteers to perform numerous tasks at the various locations. Volunteer assignments range from a regular shift at a library to the occasional volunteer who works only at special events. Tasks include filing, shelving books, caring for the magazine collection, book mending, creating bulletin boards, plant caretakers, reader advisors, advisors to assist patrons in the use of library equipment, PC advisors, floor monitors, children programming assistance and numerous other projects that need the touch of a caring person. See your Branch Librarian for more information about volunteering.
